With the arrival of September, we’ve come to the start of the run-in to the end of the year.
In Australia, it’s the beginning of spring…
…and in the north it’s the end of summer and back to work and school.
On September 23, it’s the autumn equinox in the north and the spring equinox in the south (the time will vary, depending on your location).
Events specific to Australia…
Sep 1 – National Wattle Day AND First Day Of Spring
Sep 3 – Australian National Flag Day
Sep 4 – Fathers Day
There’s also the nation’s biggest flower festival, Floriade, in Canberra from September 17 to October 16.
Around the world…
Sep 5 – Labor Day (USA)
Sep 8 – International Literacy Day
Sep 11 – Patriot Day (USA)
Sep 21 – International Day Of Peace
Sep 27 – World Tourism Day
Sep 29 – World Maritime Day AND World Heart Day
More off-beat occasions will be found over at www.BlueMountain.com.
Two that caught my attention were…
Sep 4 – “Bright Idea Day” commemorating the day in 1882 when electric lighting was first used in an office building
Sep 21 – World Gratitude Day
Apparently, it’s also “Subliminal Marketing Month” (I thought that was banned?)!
And there’s the world famous Oktoberfest that starts on September 17 and goes to October 3.
Every success with your event based marketing in September!
