Australia Day 2011

Happy “Australia Day” wherever you may be!

Today, January 26, is Australia’s national day and marks the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788. Generally, it’s a pretty laid-back day given over to picnics, barbecues and other outdoor celebrations.

The 2010 Legatum Prosperity Index was recently published…

…and Australia came in at #4, with only Norway, Denmark and Finland ahead.

Call me biased, but that’s a pretty strong confirmation that Australia is one of the best places in the world to live…

…and hey, Oprah loves us too!

Embarrassed By The Ugly State Of Your Keyboard?

It’s an occupational hazard of using a computer…

…over time your keyboard is likely to get a little…messy.

And because keyboards can be fiddly things (all those moving keys and little nooks and crannies)…

…they can be difficult to clean properly.

I’ve certainly found it a problem…

…so I was very interested when my good friend and ace online marketer Heather Trondsen told me about “Cyber Clean”.

What is it? It’s a new high-tech cleaning compound that is ideal for cleaning cavities that are difficult to reach with conventional cleaning methods.

What Happened To The Blog?!*?

If you’ve been wondering what’s been going on here at “Maximum Results Copywriting” with the blog…

…lack of posting, posts disappearing etc…

…well unfortunately the site got hacked.

If you found your browser being hijacked and directed away to another site…

…or you were alerted to a virus threat…

…many apologies.

After being alerted to the problem I investigated ways to solve the issue. Not being terribly tech savvy, in the end the easiest thing to do was completely “Nuke” the site and start again.

So, I’ve been reinstalling everything…

…plus trying to make sure that site security is improved.

The one saving grace to all of this is that at least I had a clean backup of data. Unfortunately it wasn’t totally up to date…

…hence the “lost” posts.

Once again, apologies for any problems…

…and normal service will be resumed shortly!

Whoa-dude-what-did-you-do-to-the-blog As you will probably have noticed (unless you’re new to this blog…in which case a warm “Welcome!”)…

…there’s a whole new look to the place!

I finally decided to bite the bullet…

…and get myself a premium theme for the blog.

I’d been thinking about this for a while, both for aesthetic reasons and to improve functionality.

Problem is there are a lot of great themes out there, many of them free, so I ended up paralysed by indecision.
