Here’s my somewhat belated review of Ben Settle’s “The Copywriting Grab Bag” (I’ve been busy over the last week, what can I say?).
More of a monster special report rather than a simple book, what you get for your money is…
1. 40 short “chapters” with copywriting and marketing tips (for example, “Ancient Copywriting Secret Used By Socrates Works Even Better Today” – Chapter 14 – and “How To ‘Delete-Proof’ Your Email Pitches” – Chapter 30).
2. 9 appendices containing interviews with various copywriting and marketing authorities (including Ken McCarthy and David Deutsch).
Plus there’s various “freebies” offered to buyers of the book.
The claim for “The Copywriting Grab Bag” is that it’s…
“…packed with ways to multiply the profits of all your ads – without needing a lot of money, experience or natural writing talent.”
Does it live up to the claim?
Well, pretty much although I’d suggest this is for experienced copywriters and marketers, rather than for complete beginners. The tips and techniques will make instant sense to people with experience but they aren’t much help to the rookie looking to learn how to write effective copy.
The interviews are great and what’s good is that they include people who aren’t generally well known but who have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to share.
So, recommended for the experienced professional. It’s available on Amazon.
