…our monthly look ahead at events that we can use as part of our marketing campaigns.

In Australia, March 1 is the official first day of autumn. Outside of that, there’s no specifically Australian events…

…although St Patrick’s Day (March 17) tends to be celebrated very enthusiastically!

Elsewhere…

March 1 – St David’s Day

March 8 – International Women’s Day

March 15 – Ides Of March

March 17 – St Patrick’s Day

March 30-31 – Passover

In the northern hemisphere it’s springtime, of course.

Easter falls slightly late this year on April 2, but well worth planning ahead for this.

Related to Easter is Lent, which could be linked to health and diet themes. Lent in 2010 started on February 17 and concludes on April 3.

You’ll find the usual off beat holidays over at www.BlueMountain.com. My favourite this month is “Procrastination Week” March 1-7. Just make sure you don’t put off your marketing promotion though!

P.S. In the UK it’s “Mothers Day” on March 14.
