The answer is a resounding “Yes” according to copywriting giant Clayton Makepeace.

And Clayton has solid reasons to back up his case, despite (or maybe because of) the gloomy outlook.

Read Clayton’s post…

“This Quiet Revolution Could Make You A Bundle In 2009″ (Yes, even in THIS lousy, rotten stinking

…economy!) to discover why he’s upbeat about the prospects for copywriters…

…plus his tips on what copywriters need to do.

Couple of thoughts on the post…

Firstly, it’s always a pleasure to read Clayton’s posts. It’s like reading a short version of one his promotions.

So for a copywriter they are well worth studying not just for the actual content but also for the copywriting technique.

Secondly, a lot of what Clayton talks about echoes comments in my recent post “A Surprising Benefit Of The Economic Downturn”.

I kind of hate to say it, but when economic times are tough you need to take market share from the competition. And those businesses that take action and adapt their marketing to the new environment will get the edge over less proactive rivals.
